STUDIO DIRECTOR

Christine has loved movement and dance for as long as she can remember. Her training journey began at her wonderful home town Dance Studio where her passion for dance grew into a desire to pursue it as a career. She advanced her training at the Joffrey Ballet in her teen years and went on to major in Theatre-Dance at Toronto Metropolitan University. After graduating with Honours she moved to London, England to teach Ballet, Creative Movement and Drama to children from age 3-17. Upon returning to Toronto she taught at the prestigious School of Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre in Cabbagetown, while also pursuing her dance performing career.

After having her own two children Christine developed a passion for Barre and Pilates and attained teaching certifications in both fitness modalities before launching Cbarre Studio, an inclusive and welcoming Barre Studio on the Danforth.

In the Fall of 2021 Christine launched Danforth Dance Arts and the community quickly grew! Following the success of D.D.A. Christine opened her second Dance Studio location, Encore Dance Arts in the west end of Toronto in the Fall of 2023. Christine is a certified Americon Ballet Theatre Instructor and the ABT curriculum is taught at both of her Studio locations.

Danforth Dance Arts is the culmination of a lifetime of dance performing and teaching experiences. Christine has built an incredible teaching team who are all kind, caring and inspiring. She feels lucky to get to share the magic of dance with a new generation of young dancers and looks forward to many years of providing excellent dance education and growing D.D.A.’s welcoming, warm community.
